I don’t use an iPhone but this concept looks innovative and useful for some businesses. I use my phone’s camera for business and personal reasons and I know how difficult it is to get a steady shot and to get a good angle on the screen while I am working on something.
This Kickstarter project looks terrific. Keep this stand in your pocket or wallet and pull it out when needed. You might be a real estate agent or a craftsman that needs a panorama shot. This may work well for you. For the informal photog that needs it to be useful and quick I think this is promising.
I was by people for not promoting ‘proper’ camera and camera work. DSLRs and the like are great and really nice. But I still stick with the fact that most people have a very useful camera in their pocket and not the time to return to get it to get the perfect shots. Even website photos since they tend to be small need not have the best resolution and perfect clarity. What you need is good lighting and framing(think crop) and a good enough phone camera and you get the content you need when you need it. It’s not better than a DSLR and does not look as good but small business people constantly compromise and move quickly. Do what you gotta do.
